Occupational Noise at Work Surveys
In most industrial work places, employee exposure to noise is a factor which requires regular consideration and assessment. As well as the potential health risks to employees, there is also a risk to an employer if the correct actions have not been put in place. The most of important of these is to ensure that their workplaces are compliant with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, Chapter 1 of Part 5 – Control of Noise at Work.
CLV Consulting can undertake occupational noise assessments which will determine the employee noise exposure in accordance with the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations. The noise survey results are either provided in noise contour mapping form or used in conjunction with information on the workers shift patterns to calculate typical daily noise exposure levels for employees. Work practices and specific plant equipment will be individually assessed in areas where the noise levels reach or exceed the Regulations and noise reduction measures will be recommended where required to lower noise level emissions.

CLV Consulting uses proprietary NoiseAtWork software which is a software tool for mapping, reporting and providing a graphical image of occupational noise levels. It provides colour coded noise contour maps of work areas which significantly reduces of time a company may normally spend on creating measurement maps and will help to ensure a safer work environment.
